ABOUT

Meet Akash of Namami Studio, where technology and craftsmanship come together to create functional art. Founded in Melbourne by architects specialising in computational design and robotic manufacturing, Namami Studio explores how emerging technologies can transform everyday objects into sculptural pieces that inspire wonder and elevate the spaces we live in.

Every lamp, piece of furniture and object begins with a fascination for the logic of nature. Organic forms are translated into digital algorithms, then brought to life through advanced robotic manufacturing and carefully finished by hand. Designed, 3D printed, assembled and shipped from their Melbourne studio, each piece celebrates the balance between human creativity and machine precision.

Sustainability is woven into every stage of the process. Namami Studio produces locally using PLA, a plant-based material derived from renewable sources such as cornstarch that requires significantly less energy to produce than conventional plastics. The studio also continues to expand its use of recycled materials, proving that innovative design and responsible manufacturing can exist hand in hand.

Driven by curiosity and a desire to push the boundaries of contemporary design, Namami Studio creates objects that blur the line between technology, nature and art. Every piece reflects a commitment to thoughtful innovation, local production and enduring design, offering a new vision for how functional objects can enrich everyday life
